- Give thanks to God for Merdeka Day on 31 August and Malaysia Day on 16 September. Although there are concerns and problems in our nation, we still praise God for creating this nation that we live in. Pray for peace and stability in our country. Pray for God’s protection and grace over this nation to be restored. Pray that God’s promises for Malaysia’s destiny will not be thwarted or delayed.
- Pray for Malaysians to be courageous in standing for truth and justice:
- Pray that the spirit of unity will prevail among the people
- Pray against racism, extremism and intolerance in our nation
- Continue to pray for the safety and security of Malaysia’s borders.
- Pray that God will prevent the Ebola virus from spreading into Asia and Malaysia
- Pray for the security in Sabah’s coastal borders which have been breached several times
- Pray against any dangerous ideology, whether political or religious, from entering the hearts and minds of Malaysian
“… let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us …”
(Hebrews 12: 1)
- Pray for the outpouring of God’s Spirit to purify and renew His People. Pray that Christians will put aside every distraction and focus on the burdens and concerns of the Lord
- Pray that the Church will be filled and anointed with the spirit of prayer and prophecy as more Christians are touched and called by God to intercession. More prayer networks and prayer houses will be established to pray 24/7 with Prayer United
- Give thanks for the growing spirit of unity among the different churches and denominations in Malaysia. Pray that this spirit of unity will continue to bind us together to Christ. Pray that the Malaysian Church will be of one heart and mind as we all seek God.
- Pray for God’s leaders to be purified, renewed and strengthened for the task that is ahead for the Church. Pray that church leaders will be willing to set aside their individual agendas and plans for their churches and come together instead to fulfil God’s greater plans for the Malaysian Church.
- Pray that God will dismantle the strongholds of darkness and bring revival and awakening to the Church.
- Pray for the Church in Sabah and Sarawak:
- Pray for God’s strengthening, protection and a mighty spirit of boldness to fill the East Malaysian Church
- Pray for greater communication, understanding and cooperation between the East and West Malaysian Church working together to share resources for the mutual benefit and strengthening of the Malaysian Church
