(Hebrews 12: 1)

"… will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?" (Luke 18: 7)

Parental kidnappings and conversions of children
  1. Pray for the cases of parental kidnappings of their own children from their spouses in the name of religion

MH370
  1. Pray that the massive international search for the missing plane will be directed by God himself. Our reputation has suffered as a result of the way the initial search was handled. Pray that Malaysia, especially, will act with integrity and openness as the search continues. May He lead the teams to analyse the data wisely and with discernment so that the plane will be found soon
  2. Pray for the grieving families. Pray for those who are Christians to express and demonstrate Christian peace in the face of grief and suffering. Pray for those who are not believers to be open to the gospel of hope in Christ in this sad time. Pray for closure for all the families involved.

In view of the religious oppression that the church is beginning to go through, pray for all Christians to know God's peace, comfort and control over our circumstances

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." (Matthew 5: 9)

  1. Pray for the church to be strengthened to endure oppression and persecution
  2. Pray that God will intervene mightily as certain extremist religious groups, as well as political parties, attempt to impose Islamic rule over non-Muslims in Malaysia.
  3. Pray that Christian churches and parachurch organisations will act with decorum, self-control, wisdom and peace in such times of oppression

Pray for Nigeria

About 40% (85 million) of Nigerians are Christians. Christians are dominant in southern and central Nigeria. Muslims are dominant in the north. Since the introduction of sharia law in the north, violence and hostility against non-Muslims, particularly Christians, has escalated.

  2. Pray for the gospel to be preached in season and out of season
  3. Pray for God's protection over His people
  4. Pray for a spirit of repentance and spiritual hunger to prevail in Nigeria
  5. Pray that God will disarm individuals and organisations that are harming His church, especially the Boko Haram group that has killed many Christians
    • Pray for the 276 schoolgirls who were abducted from their school in Chibok about a month ago
    • Pray for their protection, safety and quick release from the Boko Haram terrorists who have forced them to convert to Islam and are threatening to sell them into slavery
    • Pray that the Nigerian government will be swift to act in rescuing these schoolgirls
